Has Life being the same having a seizure
patient? Please share
your experience
With God and Jesus Christ our personal savior, life will continue
to be the same because we know whom we trust we just have to learn to
make some adjustments and work around the whole issue.
School,
diet, events, places, work are things we had to work around. It has
being a big NO going to restaurants if there is any event in the
household that we feel like going, not an habit, because any visit to
and eating out of the food means a seizure episode for the day, if
eventually the little brother to the patient cries for it and we say
okay once in a while if we visit, it will be a TO GO and our dear
patient is not to taste out of the food, that is one of the many
adjustments we have to make. Many of our common food is out of the
way, I pity our daughter for she has this great love for pounded yam
but it is a no go area, the last time we tried it again thinking it
was just a mere coincidence with seizures after the dish we finally
listed it in capital as NO GO AREA.

It is hard for school to follow the issue of do not give our child this because
even if we repeat that several times guess what on picking your child up you
hear oh she was good today hence we gave her skittle, this we have said several
times do not give our child any thing sweet but it still repeats it self and
when our child gets home to take a nap, guess what happens. Also how many can
believe our child was suspended for days at Jolly Elementary school GA for doing
stuff unconsciously from side effect of medications. It is also unbelievable
that Rockbridge Elementary school GA would submit the child absences due to
seizure episodes as unexcused hence we are to attend a court meeting on April
25, 2008 that our
child has attendance problem and there is no one that does not know what the
issue is at school including the principal. Each absence is an offence as
stated in the letters!
I mum can't write everything here on what Life has being for 7
years but we thank God for shock absorber that we have being graced to have with
some saying some things that may make you feel like it is the end of the world,
these are those that know more about what is going on but we say it is well, we
look forward to more of eating what is best for our child and be seizure free.
Life still remains the same we thank God for our daughter's little brother who
has being doing a great job looking after his big sister, we always wished they
were a year apart but we trust in God!
